Work History

Ever After Farms

Venue Coordinator
03.2022 - 08.2023

Job overview

  • As I was being trained by my coworkers my day consisted of cleaning, laundry, sweeping, cleaning off surfaces, and making things look polished and clean.
  • As I moved up in my job I began to take on tours, which is when I would show prospective clients around the wedding venue, I loved this part of my job because I loved meeting so many different people and getting the opportunity to bond with couples.
  • When I would do tours my responsibilities outside of just showing couples around the venue would be to make sure couples are being responded to within our messaging platform as well as on our client portal, these administrative pieces were very important to the job as that’s how we and our clients communicate.
  • On wedding days when I was doing tours my responsibilities changed a little as it was my responsibility to make sure everything in the venue looked correct and to set up little things that don’t need to be done the night before once a wedding is over, as those things aren’t the main priority.
  • During my specific assigned weddings, the responsibilities of those days differed a lot more than a tour day, as I would typically work 12-14 hours on these days when a lot more things need to be done.
  • On wedding days the main priority of the whole day is to make sure the couple is good and in check, as well as to make sure the inside and outside of the venue where the ceremony is looking good and to make sure all the pieces are coming together basically.
  • At night I would typically “flip” the room which means that I would change the layout, this includes tables, chairs, decor, and almost anything you think of me, and with the help of someone else would change to what the couple the next day wanted.
  • On other wedding nights, it could be my responsibility to clean areas of the barn. I would wipe down all surfaces, sweep and vacuum the room, disinfect anything that may need to be disinfected, wipe down mirrors, and restock supplies.
