Volunteer Experience

  • Braille Institute, Santa Barbara, CA, During my college studies I volunteered for 2.5 years at Braille Institute. I taught a clay class for 8-10 blind women. This was an extremely enriching experience and I still cherish the connections I made with these amazing women.
  • Children's Hospital of Atlanta, Atlanta, GA, During my time of living and working in Atlanta, GA I volunteered to be an 'End-of-Life photographer for terminally ill children at Children's Hospital of Atlanta. I was blessed with the opportunity to capture the light and spirit of these beautiful kids using props/costumes/make-up of their choice to create lasting happy memories for the parents. With the greatest sensitivity I would also intimately capture the final moments of these children's lives as they passed on in their parents arms. This was the without a doubt the most difficult and the most rewarding work I have ever done in my life. I would trade it for nothing.
