
I have been a registered nurse since 02/2020 with a variety of hospital and correctional experience. Prior to becoming a registered nurse I worked as an LPN for one year and as a CNA/LNA for 4 years.
In this role I work in delivering fast-paced, high-quality care to patients experiencing acute illness, trauma, or medical emergencies. Proficient in triage, rapid assessment, critical decision-making, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patient.
In this position I collaborate with physicians to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment while managing rapidly changing conditions, perform triage on incoming patients and determine severity of injuries/illnesses, and respond quickly and effectively to all situations entering the ER.
Contracted with Immigration Customs and Enforcement detention center- Primary care setting for immigrants where care ranges from common cold, tuberculosis, drug withdrawals, and to emergent services that require first responder skills such as: stabilization, C-collar administration, field IV start. Responsible for performing phlebotomy. Rotation of roles includes: charge nurse, rounds nurse, intake (admissions) nurse, and clinic nurse.

Oversee nursing students in a clinical setting. I would be responsible for upwards of 6 students, teaching/assisting with clinical skills, building critical thinking in the students, and ensuring safe patient care practices are performed.
CVPCU- Responsible for 4-5 patients, hemodynamic monitoring, medication titration, post-operative open heart, vascular, and other cardiac procedure patients. Intermittent charge of unit. Transitioned to BSS in 2023.
East valley float pool PRN- Responsible for floating between two major hospitals and fulfilling needs. Units included: Progressive care, observation, ED Holds, neurologic, medical/surgical, and overflow units. I was NIHSS certified with Dignity Health.
