· Grant Writing - Develop and implement new programs, writing and reporting of federal, state, and private grants, and sustain and attract new business for the entire county. In 18 months was awarded and managed $600,000 from airport, safety, and tourism grants plus new start-up business funding.

· Community Sustainability – Implement initiatives to maintain, grow, and provide quality of life to the county.

· Leadership and Partnerships- Guide, mentor, and cultivate collaborations with local, state, and federal agencies, community leaders, and private sector stakeholders.

· Event and Fundraising Management – Oversaw the Mallard Masters Duck Hunting Championship, a one-day event that welcomed 1,700 – 2,000 guests to the daytime expo and 400 guests to the evening banquet. Social media, radio, television advertising, and having an excellent team working together contributed to the success. Overall profit was close to $400,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Directed grant administration on agreements with numerous funding

agencies, such as various federal government entities, non-profits, and private organizations.

· Coordinated work with subcontracts, applicants, and grantees to assist with grants/contracts and monitor activity and performance.

· Reviewed/approved pre-award spending, reporting, and development/management of subcontracts.

· Coordinating with partners and internal leadership to develop plans, timelines, and correspondence.

· Supervised the construction and managed the Veterans Cottages for Homeless Veterans of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

· Administered the HUD Community Development Block Grant for entitlement cities. A budget of $650,000 to $1.2 million.

· Monitored a budget of $30 million. The Cares Act awarded the City of Jonesboro $15 million, the other $15,000 from awarded grants.
