Summary

I graduated nursing school on May 12, 2023 and passed my RN NCLEX in June 2023. Currently working at Mercy hospital in Ardmore, Ok in their IMC unit and have experienced how to monitor and take care of patients that have transfer from the ICU and has transferred from the ER or medsurg units. The type of patients I have cared for are usually in the in between phases of being to critical for medsurg and not critical enough for medsurg. They need closer observation and more care because they may need ICU care if not monitored closely. I thrive in a busy environment and love being part of a unit that is dedicated to caring for patients and their family’s, I am a goal-driven individual and am always looking for ways to improve my skills. So, when I was able to take my LPN NCLEX on 02-24-23 and passed I was excited to begin practice my nursing skills. I have been working at Mercy Hospital in Healdton Oklahoma since 2021 where I have worked my way from aid, nurse tech, LPN and now RN. I have the opportunity to work in the ER and med surg departments and have learned a lot. I have experience in triaging, codes, admitting, discharging and stabilizing patients and arrange transport to get them higher level of care they may need. Patient care is my passion and patient safety is my number one priority. When I decided to start my journey to become a nurse I wanted to start as a nursing assistant so I could experience every part of taking care of people. Since I have started as an aid, I have learned so much about priorities and time management. Proficient and caring nursing team member offering outstanding patient-facing experience. Adept at addressing patient needs with compassionate care and attention to detail. Diligent about maximizing satisfaction, safety and wellness while serving patients of all backgrounds. I learned how to multitask and be proficient while caring for patients. I think of head of what a patient might need before I go into their rooms for example if it is close to time to take their vitals and a patient calls wanting a cup of ice I will go ahead and take their vitals when I bring the ice. I have incorporated these skills while I have been going to clinicals and I have that same mindset as I am practicing as a nurse. With a more clinical perspective such as to making sure the medication they are taking is compatible with their other meds. When triaging thinking ahead of what the provider may want us to do for the condition the patient may be in. I have worked both night and day shifts while working in a hospital setting. Work abscesses are rare for me, and I like to plan events months in advance so I can schedule things around my job schedule. Organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.
