Regina Mbarika

Participated in a International Law & Advocacy Internship program focused on addressing human rights issues in developing nations, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.

• Collaborated with NGOs and industry experts to develop and implement advocacy campaigns addressing human rights violations, climate change, peace and security, women's empowerment, clean water initiatives, and access to education.
• Conducted in-depth research on human rights challenges in sub-Saharan Africa, developing critical research, writing, interviewing, and observation skills.
• Created and executed community education initiatives on themes such as gender equality, domestic violence, child and youth development rights, health, and wellbeing.
• Worked directly with community leaders, lawyers, and NGOs to bring about change, eliminate stigmas, and increase knowledge of human rights in rural communities.
• Developed and implemented an advocacy plan and community initiative to address specific human rights violations.
• Gained hands-on experience in grassroots advocacy, project management, and international development.
• Enhanced leadership and interpersonal communication skills through collaboration in a multicultural environment.
