Implemented print development process that would allow for lengthier factory development time and adhering to time sensitive calendar milestones, with results in less print strike-off submits, having early approval sign-off, and creating a broader time frame to allow print development modifications as needed before moving into production phase.
Collaborated with concept, merchandise and garment design teams to showcase the most cohesive, exciting and consumer appealing seasonal print and color offerings.
Communicated regularly with overseas mills to devise lead time-reducing measures and make design adjustments that would improve garment production costs, while maintaining a high degree of design quality and intent.
Managed all phases of print production and color development. This Included creating artwork, print coloration's, repeats, art production specifications, color lab dips and print strike-off reviews and approvals.

Commissioned to designed unique, on trend surface print and novelty textiles for men and women' active lifestyle, yoga and swim apparel.
Communicated with key design contacts weekly to discuss individual needs and overall vision.
Managed design development phases of print and color. This included preparing repeats, art specifications, communicating with overseas vendors, reviewing and approving print strike-offs and color lab dips.
Design intention was that all print concepts and creations were exciting and new to the brand, and supported the brands intention of moving aesthetic footprint forward in order to drive up sales.
Worked alongside cross-functional partners to conceptualize new designs and to implement design development workflows for Canadian team.

Athleta

Created trend driven surface prints and novelty textiles to showcase and help to revitalize retail sales of the Lifestyle product. Resulting in a 30-40% boost in printed style category sales first year.
Designed original prints and coloration's, in addition to working with art studios, purchasing brand right artwork.
Managed all phases of surface print production. This included creating repeat art files, applying color standards, creating art spec files, tracking with overseas factories for strike-offs, color lab dips, and printed garment samples for review and approval.
Provided design direction and allocated work flow to freelance designers.
Collaborated in trend research, attended print shows and researched active lifestyle markets to better understand consumer trends.
Executed print presentations to discuss seasonal surface print collateral with cross-functional partners and design leadership.

Pottery Barn Kids

Contributed design work for bedding, decorative accessories, nursery and kids and baby luggage categories.
Collaborated with creative leads to establish and create designs for PBK brand and licensed product.
Researched development methods to facilitate design implementation. This included, embroidery techniques, printing on hardline accessories, and translating print production to rugs and towels.
Worked to improve design file accessibility and translatability of design content.
Created design spec packages and established color standards for production phase.
