  • Created, developed and implemented workshops and teaching forums on the ravages of climate change to the The Riverside Church of New York, its congregation and community at large.
  • Introduced composting, helped introduce a ban on fracking in New York State, encouraged
  • The Riverside Church of New York to divest its $140 million portfolio of companies that produce fossil fules
  • Created,and developed one of the first writings on the issues of the need for social justice advocates to work with climate change advocates
  • Worked with te Poor People's Campaign on its launch of its publication:" We Cry Justice-Reading the Bible with the Poor People's' Campaign. created program to introduce its concepts , developed the program theme, recruited speakers (including TRC's Senior Minister and PPC's co -Chair , Liz Theoharris)). Prepared opening and closing statements that were recorded and presented to the church and community at large. My closing statement that was broadcast in the church on three different occasions
  • Served as Chair of the Greening Subcommittee. Goal was and is green the church in compliance with Local Law 97. Work included visiting other churches and schools were greening their buildings.
  • Requested , received and analyzed reports from architects and other experts and made recommendations to TSC on how best to green its buildings
  • Scheduled monthly monthly meetings
  • Created and implemented a intergenerational climate change forum to educate church and public on how climate change is affecting our planet
  • Established clear goals for team members, providing ongoing feedback to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborated with legal, accounting and other professional teams to review and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Met with representatives of WE ACT to explore job opportunities in the solar power industries
  • Authored the final report of the Greening Subcommittee that included recommendations that are presently being implemented by TRC
