Reid Stewart

I have worked for The Southern Porch Company most summers since 2017. After graduating from undergrad, I worked for one of their subcontractors for half a year. Now, I have rejoined the company, working for a different sub.

Work Experience

• My work involved the proficient use of a variety of carpenter's hand tools, such as hammers, saws, and chisels, as well as portable power tools like drills and sanders. I also utilized standard measuring instruments like tape measures and levels to ensure precision in my work.
• Performed various carpentry duties, including both rough and finish carpentry.
• Most jobs done were building decks and porches
• Positioned and installed floor joists, trusses and rafters.

• My role as a graduate assistant involved providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and handling correspondence. I also contributed to athlete development and assisted with data collection and analysis.
• Train with the athletes and help them perform at their highest potential.
• Assist the coaching staff with leadership and athlete development

• Conducted small group and individual classroom activities with students based on differentiated learning needs.
• Advocated for the needs of the students with disabilities.
• Maintained consistent and timely contact with parents about student behavior and upcoming events.
• Wrote and managed critical legal documents, including Individual Learning Plans (IEPs) for the school.
