
Quality Assurance Lead Position Summary Primarily responsible for the implementation and adherence to Mom’s Meals HACCP and Food Safety programs, procedures, and activities in a Ready-to-Eat manufacturing facility. This role monitors all stages of the production process to ensure compliance with all company standards, regulatory standards and to ensure we supply a quality product safe for consumption, while providing leadership and training to the Quality Assurance Technicians. Position responsibilities include, but not limited to Inspect assembly line for complete sanitation between food batches to prevent cross-contamination Complete random surface inspections on equipment using ATP swab testing Perform environmental and food contact surfacetesting Perform internal audits (Glass & Brittle Plastic, GMPs, Pest Control, Food Defense, Allergen Control, Label Verification, Receiving) Perform Direct Observations and Record Reviews Perform chemical tritations Has the authority to place product that is out of specifications on Quality hold Has the authority to stop the line from runningand/or place product on Quality hold if there is afood safety concern Assist in training Quality Assurance personnel on safety, sanitation, and the compliance of policies and procedures Required skills and experience Passion for accuracy Trustworthy and reliable Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently as well as a productive team player Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to read, write and speak English Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal Proficient in Microsoft Excel (general data entry and graph literacy) College coursework or degree in Food Science or related field 2 – 4 years of Quality and Food Safety work experience required Preferred experience HACCP Certification required PCQI Certification a plus SQF Practitioner Certification a plus Bilingual in Spanish a plus Physical requirements Must be able to work in a hot or cold environment for extended periods of time Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor QASPVR Position Summary The Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor assists in overseeing Quality and Food Safety Programs (HACCP-Meat, Poultry, Seafood, Vegetables; Labeling; GMPs; Internal Auditing, etc.), including implementation, staff training and documentation.
