As a Staff RN/Charge Nurse, collaborated with MD's, Care Coordinators, Allied Health Professionals, and House Supervisors to care for patients in an Observation Unit specializing in short-stay, post-op, pain management, pre and post dialysis treatments, ensuring high quality patient care.
As a Unit Preceptor, was responsible for orienting/training Resident RN's and newly hired RN's.
As a Unit Practice Council Chairperson, was responsible for facilitating meetings and collaborating with Staff RN's and Patient Care Techs in the Observation Unit to help with process improvements.

• Addressed 30-50 patient's health and wellness concerns per day in a Primary Care Clinic via Messaging Pool or through Nurse Visits
• Assisted patients with scheduling of imaging (radiology tests) appointments.
• Notified patients of their latest lab results.

• Performed service recovery through high priority calls / "escalation line" and coordinated with providers as needed.

• As a bedside RN in a Med-Surg/Tele Unit, took care of patients by applying the Synergy Model for Care to determine individual needs and develop care plans in coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• As a relief Charge Nurse to a 49-bed unit, was responsible for overseeing and directing patient care in a given shift, making patient assignments, collaborating and coordinating with other healthcare professionals as needed to improve patient outcomes and by doing service recovery.
• As a Unit Preceptor, was responsible for orienting/training Nurse Residents and newly hired RNs.
• As a Nurse Scholar in the PLAN (Professional Lattice Advancement in Nursing), participated in numerous continuing Staff Education through Nursing Skills Fair, Safety Fair, and Unit Projects focusing on process improvements and preventing/reducing hospital acquired infections (HAIs).

• Took care of up to six patients per day in Med-Surg/Tele Unit utilizing nursing process; administered medications via oral, IV and intramuscular injections and monitored responses.
• Effectively prioritized assignments, executing care based on each patient's relative condition and delegating tasks to available personnel to deliver safe and efficient care.

• As a preceptor, trained student nurses in proper techniques, care standards, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
• As a relief charge nurse, guaranteed the care of patients on telemetry in a 36-bed Med/Surg unit and a 12-bed Admission Unit.
