• Provide daily cared for residents while assisting them with their daily living needs. Helping with meals, personal hygiene care, daily activities as well as companionship.

I worked for Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center from July 2004 until May of 2020. In September of 2019 I became a 24 hour, oncall live in caregiver for four in a half years. During this time I developed and implemented a care plan for the client based on their needs and preferences. I hired, trained and coordinated with other personal caregivers to ensure that the client received the best care possible. My services included providing direct personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, transferring, toileting as well as providing transportation needs to scheduled appointments.

I implemented proper turning and repositioning schedules for the client to prevent pressure ulcers as well as providing comfort measures such as back rubs and positioning pillows for added comfort. I maintained a clean and well-organized environment while in their home and kept groceries and medical supplies properly stocked for the month. I also provided emotional support needed to the family members regarding any life changing decisions being made for their loved one.
