Work History

Contract Engineer

CECO
10.2022 - 06.2023

Submitted applications for permit to operate to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD), Assisted the applicant with various issues regarding rule changes and Best Available Control Technology (BACT). My role was to submit applications for the equipment to be installed. Because of my previous experience working with for AQMD Engineering, I was able to navigate obstacles encountered during the filing process. Rule changes that occurred during the filing would have subjected the applicant to harsher emission standards. I was able to interpret the rule and request the current emission standards be postponed to a future compliance date. I also gave guidance to CECO on the BACT requirements to ensure the equipment complied with AQMD emission standards.

Air Quality II Engineer

South Coast Air Quality Management District
09.1989 - 03.2022

I worked at the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) for over 34 years. I initially worked for the Emissions Inventory Division reviewing Annual Emission Reports submitted by various companies subject to the AQMD emissions filing requirements. This included site visits, auditing records and correcting reports submitted by these companies. After this I move to the Permitting Division. I worked various departments such as, Combustion, Toxics, and finally Coatings, I assisted applicants in submitting permit applications, then reviewed their submittal to ensure compliance with all AQMD rules and regulation before recommending or denying the final permit.
