Responsible for the entry level aspects of accounting for Boger Concrete. Accounts Payable & Receivable were a major aspect of this position. Invoicing of production to customers and reconciling of the payments from customers. Sales tax payments on a monthly basis. Assisted the sales men and purchasing agents with daily necessary tasks such as customer issues and credit applications for vendors.
*Responsible for overall accounting department, general ledger, monthly closings, payroll,cash flow, lines of credit and other internal financial functions.
*Workers Compensation administration from acquiring the carrier thru to completion and posting of OSHA logs, as well as employee interaction in order to keep WC costs at minimum.
*Signer for all bank accounts and assets, including all bank reconciliations.
*Purchased an average of 120K pounds of raw meat each week and was the main contact for over 4 meats suppliers.
*Handled all employee onboarding and implementation of benefits.
*Processed accounts payable and property assets
*Maintained the communication between the outside auditing firm and the company.
*Planned all company functions, picnics, retirement parties etc
*Kept Workers Comp costs down resulting in lower experience mods for manageable premiums
*Single handedly paid off a credit line of $500k without the owners management or input
*Handled all of the payroll aspects to completion with the aid of a third party payroll company
*An advocate for employees while always keeping my employers best interest in sight
*Maintained a relationship with raw meat suppliers in a gentlemen's arena
