Radiology Services Manager

Xpress Wellness Urgent Care
08.2016 - Current
  • I learned a tremendous amount of medical skills working for Xpress
  • I was initially hired on as a Rad-Tech but due to the lack of a consistent demand for X-rays, I was cross-trained on just about every aspect of care that is offered at this organization, and I moved from position to position depending on the need of the clinic
  • I worked the front desk checking in patients, scheduling appointments, handling insurance inquiries, referrals, worker’s comp/occupational medicine processing, and daily balancing of patient payments
  • I worked alongside the nursing staff triaging patients and acquiring vital signs
  • I performed an array of testing such as COVID-19, FLU, strep etc
  • I also performed EKG’s and Spirometry, as well as lab draws
  • I assisted providers with sutures, abscess incisions/ draining/ packing, as well as splinting/wrapping limbs and appendages
  • I taught some of the MA’s how to take basic X-rays to allow for more flexibility in the clinic
  • I learned the use of a Paxis 100 digital Xray system in this clinic as well as how to clean instruments and maintain an Autoclave machine
  • In August of 2018 I was promoted to Clinic Manager of our Chickasha location, which expanded my knowledge base on an array of levels in terms of what it takes to keep the clinic flowing smoothly
  • In June of 2019 I was promoted to Radiology Services Manager and was tasked with overseeing all things X-ray related for 10 clinics
  • I also put together a training program for MA’s and LPN’s to learn how to take basic X-rays
  • We opened nine additional clinics in between 2019 and 2020 and I was a key player in training the staff on all our clinical policies and processes including X-ray.

Radiologic Technologist

Duncan Orthopaedics
06.2016 - 07.2016
  • I covered for someone on medical leave, so I was there only a brief time, but in that short time, I learned very quickly how to assign patients to rooms, and triage their conditions
  • I assisted the providers with joint steroid injections and administered steroid IM injections
  • I performed an array of diagnostic x-rays on patients with various ages and ailment
  • I learned the use of an AGFA CR system and cassette reader
  • I also learned how to navigate and log patient visit information on the clinic’s server/software pretty quickly.

Director (Manager)

Chick-fil-A Cache RD FSU
06.2006 - 06.2016
  • I started as a regular team member, cashiering on front counter, but eventually learned every position in the store from front to back of house
  • I became a Team Leader in 2008, where I became responsible for smoothly running a shift and team of about 20 people through busy breakfast and lunch periods
  • I became the Director of Drive-thru operations in 2013 and helped launch the Face-to-Face drive-thru experience at our store
  • It was a huge success and has since almost doubled the drive-thru business during peak periods
  • I spent time in just about all managerial aspects of the store such as interviewing and orientation, truck ordering and inventory, scheduling and assigning daily team position rosters
  • I also spent a good amount of time training and coaching team members through guest interaction, and through the use of online tools
  • I handled and trained other members of management on daily financial reporting and handling safe counts
  • I had to troubleshoot register issues pretty regularly
  • I also helped our team identify and resolve potential problems with our heavy customer volume inside and outside our facility on a very limited lot space.

Radiologic Technologist Assistant

Duncan Regional Hospital (DRH)
05.2015 - 05.2016
  • I performed all types of diagnostic X-rays as well as some limited Computed Tomography (CT) exams on inpatients, ICU, and Emergency Room patients in a timely manner
  • I performed X-rays using Kodak Carestream digital equipment in the Radiology department of the hospital, and used a GE AMX retrofitted digital portable for mobile exams
  • I learned how to log and retrieve information from the hospital's PACS server
  • I had to troubleshoot to get the best images possible at times, since no two patients are alike
  • I worked directly with doctors, nurses, and other staff members to ensure we were providing the absolute best care for the patients of DRH.
