  • The Medical Support Assistants (MSAs) Customer services, Scheduling Operations assigned to the Health Administration Service (HAS) located in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Phoenix, Arizona which includes The facility's Outpatient and Community Based Outpatient Clinics, and are responsible for Performing a variety of technical support duties that facilitate the work of physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nursing assistants and other members of the medical facility who provide direct patient care
  • MSAs are considered the chief sources of patient care and patient flow Information and are responsible for a range of duties which include interpreting and verifying Provider orders in accordance with VHA National Scheduling Directive guidelines
  • The Incumbent in this assignment supports all Outpatient Clinics (PACT, Surgical Specialty, Internal Medicine, and Integrated Clinical Services) of the Medical Center and can be pulled to work in any clinic, due to low staffing or assigned consults from any clinic due to backlog
  • Inpatient MSA, which provides coverage for all inpatient wards, intensive care units and community living centers (CLC)
