Responsible for the survey, detection and interception of exotic and newly established plant pests for the purpose of minimizing or eliminating environmental and agricultural harm.
Detects, examines, collects, prepares, and submits specimens to the appropriate technical section for diagnosis and/or confirmation.
Assists in implementing appropriate regulatory action upon field diagnosis.
Maintains proper records of all functions and submits timely and accurate reports of all work performed.
Inspect crop damage for FSA/USDA. Photograph and take notes of all damages to plants, fields, and any other involvement. Write detailed reports on findings and submit to the FSA offices for the counties involved.
Measure fields, crop rows, field plantings at growing inspections. Released fields at Final inspections to the producers.
Keep detailed reports on all fields and plantings.
