Lead briefs involving nuclear related crane lifts and discussed known or potential hazards, crane clearances, load weight, individual responsibilities, tag lines, transferring load control, stopping points, radiological boundaries, the items location, how many ersonnel are required to have TLDs, etc. The crane operator is always present at briefs, and/ or briefed of the plan before any execution.
- Can identify what factors constitute a complex lift/evolution. Circumstances such as lifts that are submerged or partially submerged, lifts of personnel, lifts exceeding 80% of the crane’s hoist, lifts of fuel, lifts in the R/C, and lifts of
constrained or partially constrained loads/ binding condition. - Preform pre/ post operational gear test along with a visual inspection prior to any job
performance. (Test due date, calibration, etc.). - Active Secret Clearance
