Summary

I am a detail oriented, self-motivator with a positive outlook on life. I have a background in Medicine, 10+ years at Barnes and Noble,10+ years of management, and over 16 years of retail experience. I am excellent at dealing with customer service, and have a knack for catching on quickly/accurately to tasks at hand. SALES I have had over 16 years of sales experience. While at Barnes and Noble I also held the district highest sales for member cards and average sales for 3+ years. I worked as their head cashier, Bargain Lead, Kids lead, Bookseller, and Barista. Bargain lead was the position I held the longest, and also worked as Bargain lead while Head cashier. I efficiently managed displays while putting up 3-15 thousand pounds of stock away monthly, doing the recap, and returns as needed. I was a trainer and also was given a helper that later became the night receiver. COMMUNICATION I am able to openly communicate and problem solve under pressure. LEADERSHIP I am a natural leader, but have a hardnosed approach to leadership. I hold high standards, but am able to motivate without being too mean. I think you should treat everyone fairly, and let them know what you expect. I have 10+ years of management experience understanding what it takes to leave my ego at the door.
