Being a teacher means being a life-long learner. I began teaching dance when I was a teenager and absolutely loved it. Later, I became a substitute teacher in the Carson City School District. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. While going back to school I was fortunate to find a wonderful job at Carson Montessori Charter School. I began as a substitute, then was hired as a paraprofessional and finally became a highly qualified teacher. I have been a third grade teacher for 10 years. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working as an elementary teacher at Carson Montessori. Beginning in August I will be attending Western Governor University. I will be working on a Master of Education in Education Technology and Instructional Design for K-12 and Adult Learners. I am looking forward to this next chapter!
