Baseball Umpire
- An umpire has many jobs built into this one job. He must be able to handle the director of the tournament, work well with his partner(s), and control coaches, players, and parents/fans. All while making sure he is in absolute control of the games and rules in order to be fair to all involved. By no means is it an easy job.
- In tournament ball, there are games all day long. Sometimes you're there from 8am to 8pm. That is, if you stay on schedule. The only break you will have is 15 minutes between games.
- Being a player, I thought that being an umpire would be easy. This was completely wrong. It is a totally different ball game. Especially knowing every single rule, and when to call them. All depending on age groups.
