The calling of pastor is to allow Jesus to lead in all aspects of life. The calling is to pastor and minister within the local church. A pastor is someone who can lead a church into different ministries and evangelistic opportunities and to be able to preach the Word, disciple others, and to coordinate ministries of the local church is extremely important.

Doctrinal Position I believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. I believe a person is truly born again, they cannot lose their salvation. Salvation is not of ourselves, but of Jesus and the Cross. We are saved by faith through grace. I fully embrace the doctrinal teachings reflected in the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message with no reservations.
Leadership Style I believe Jesus is the Head of the Church. I, as a Pastor, am called to pastor the flock. I work with the church to formulate evangelistic strategies. I am a strong believer in evangelism and reaching the community for Christ. I believe the sermon should be Bible first, and the preaching of Jesus and the Cross is foremost. I am not a dictator or authoritative, but work well with others in those ministries to formulate a path forward. I believe you put people in place, you trust them, and give them the room to operate the ministries as God and they see fit.
Ministry Style It is my belief that the mandate for all believers is to fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8). We must do that through personal evangelism, deliberate discipleship, church outreach, and intentional mission strategy. My first responsibility is to prayerfully teach the Word of God (Acts 6:4). Pastoral responsibility also includes equipping believers to do the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:11-12). The pastor must also lead the way in evangelism (2 Tim. 4:5). Furthermore, I believe that the pastor is to be a servant of the church displaying the compassion of our Lord to the people under his care.
Salvation and Calling I was a very inquisitive child. I felt the Lord calling me to salvation as early as six years old, and then I put God on the back burner. Then, when I reached about twelve years old I began searching again. I always was in church, and I wanted to search out the Lord on my own. When I was fifteen, during a VBS, I accepted Jesus as my Savior. I was called to preach when I was seventeen, and from there I have been in public ministry ever since.
