Trauma Group Facilitator

• Coordinate and administer spiritual; and religious services, programs, and activities for incarcerated individuals representing diverse faiths and denominations within a correctional institution.
• Provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance, crisis intervention and religious, personal and social counseling to incarcerated individuals and correctional staff, promoting their spiritual welfare, comfort and rehabilitation.
• Facilitate trauma-informed healing groups that integrate spirituality, evidence-based trauma recovery principles, and culturally responsive practices to support emotional, behavioral ad spiritual well being.
• Develop, coordinate and facilitate interfaith classes, Bible studies and faith-based educational programs that promote hope, resilience, personal growth and successful rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with the Office of Victim and Trauma Services by providing spiritual support, crisis intervention and victim-centered programming.
• Serve as the on-site supervisor for the Chaplain Internship Program by coordinating internship activities, mentoring seminary interns and evaluating professional development.
• Respond to inmate religious requests, religious accommodations, and correspondence through the JPay/ViaPath electronic communication system, ensuring timely responses and compliance with departmental policies.
• Collaborate with custody staff, executive leadership, healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate religious activities, resolve institutional concerns and ensure the effective delivery of chaplaincy services.

• Provide supervisory coverage during the Chaplain Supervisor's absence to ensure continuity in the coordination and administration of spiritual and religious services throughout the institution.
• Coordinate the daily operation of chaplaincy services, including the scheduling of worship services, religious activities, religious volunteers, chaplain interns and faith leaders representing diverse faith traditions.
• Serve as the primary chaplaincy contact for institutional leadership, custody staff and community religious representatives during supervisory assignments.
• Assist in supervising chaplaincy operations to ensure compliance with departmental policies, institutional procedures, security requirements and standards governing religious activities
• Provide leadership, guidance and operational support to chaplaincy staff, interns and volunteers while promoting professionalism, teamwork, accountability and continuity of services.
• Coordinate special religious observances, institutional events and faith-based programming to meet the spiritual needs of incarcerated persons.
• Support administrative functions, program planning, scheduling and departmental initiatives to ensure the effective delivery of chaplaincy services
• Assist in resolving operational concerns and maintaining continuity of religious services during periods of supervisory coverage.

• Coordinate institution-wide religious services, special observances and faith based programming for multiple faith traditions in accordance with departmental policy and institutional security requirements.
• Coordinate religious volunteers, community faith leaders and institutional stakeholders to ensure the safe, orderly and effective delivery of religious programs and services.
• Develop, implement and evaluate specialized curricula for Bible studies, trauma recovery groups nd faith-based educational initiatives that support rehabilitation and personal growth.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, custody staff, healthcare professionals, treatment teams and community partners to address the spiritual, religious and emotional needs of incarcerated persons.
• Assist with operational planning, scheduling, policy implementation and quality improvement initiatives that strengthen chaplaincy services and institutional operations,
• Foster positive working relationships with diverse faith communities while ensuring equitable access to religious accomodations, worship opportunities and pastoral services.
