Coursework

Mechanical Engineering Graphics - Utilize principles of heat transmission, thermodynamics, mechanics, and hydraulics during the process of product development.

Utilizing solid works - Gained the knowledge and abilities required to construct a variety of mechanical components.

Manufacturing Processes - Acquired proficiency in operating a diverse range of machinery, including those with the ability to perform cutting, drilling, and casting operations. Implemented the principle of tolerancing in the manufacturing process to enhance the compatibility and performance of each engineered component.

Extracurricular Activities

Research on Tungsten Ring Experiment (10/2022)

Acquired proficiency in using the Instron Machine to apply pressure on the ring and determine the maximum force it can withstand before breaking.

MESA Leadership Conference (11/2021)

Collaborated with team of 10 engineering students in the undertaking of research on the occurrences of California wildfires. Delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the impact of wildfires on solar panel efficiency.

Projects

Totem Design Project (10/2021 - 11/2021) - Designed a cylindrical workpiece where we fit between people's cylindrical workpieces. Devised a preliminary design for the apertures and incisions on both the upper and lower sections of the cylindrical object to accommodate two workpieces. Conducted several drilling and cutting operations using Esprit (CAM) software. Utilized the lathe, milling machine, and CNC machine to execute cutting operations for the production of the workpiece.

Mechanical Engineering Graphics Project (10/2019 - 12/2019) - Designed and developed a phone holder, with careful consideration given to modifying the shape of the holder to provide a perfect fit for the phone. Initial design of the phone holder with specified dimensions. Utilized SolidWorks to visually demonstrate the preliminary design. The designs were printed using a 3D printer and then tested by attaching them to a charger.
