I am in charge of setting up from start to finish various different machining operations on different machines daily.
This includes loading correct program in the machine, loading correct vice jaws or mill fixture depending on part number. loading correct tools that meet clearance tolerances per part. Making edits in program to either speed up or slow down spindle speeds and feed rates depending on material. I am currently running mostly inconel, stainless steel and titanium parts and have the experience to run hard metal without breaking endmills or drills. I have taken many notes to help with speeds and feeds. I am also doing hard metal jobs with parts quantities between 200-1000 parts and can make sure the parts count is correct at the end. We are required to debur the sharp edges after the part is cut utilizing the 90 degree grinder. Once part and holes are deburred it is time to check each part to make sure it is in tolerance to the drawing using calipers or micrometers.
