Reynaldo Garza

I began my nursing career in the Neurological ICU, where I built a strong foundation in critical care. During orientation, I also gained experience in wound care nursing, initiating wound vacs and educating patients on wound management. Once I completed my ICU orientation, I transitioned to focusing fully on critical care, obtaining certifications such as NIHSS,ENLS and ACLS. I further advanced my skills by training on specialized therapies and devices, including CRRT and the Arctic Sun. In addition to caring for ICU patients, I respond to hospital-wide emergencies when called overhead. I continue to expand my knowledge and expertise as I pursue my APRN education, with the goal of advancing my practice and providing high-level care to patients.

• CRRT – Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy
• Arctic Sun – Targeted Temperature Management System (used for therapeutic hypothermia/temperature regulation)
