Stroke/ SAH/ Glioblastoma/ Immunology: Microglial TLR4 is critical for neuronal injury and cognitive dysfunction in SAH
After inducing SAH in mice, we noted significant differences in microglial activation in wildtype knockout mice compared to cell-specific and global TLR4 knockout mice, this activation causes excessive production of proinflammatory mediators and increased expression of costimulatory molecules leading to neuroinflammation

Immunology and Infectious Diseases: During my postdoctoral research at the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at Louisiana State University, I examined the roles of T-cells and B-cells in a dust-mite-induced bronchial asthma mouse model
Additionally, I explored the effector and memory functions of T-cells in influenza-infected mice and investigated the involvement of mitochondrial metabolic proteins in immunoregulation, identifying their role in chronic colitis through T-regulatory cell biology studies in mice
