I assist ESE students in a Low Cognitive classroom. I conduct one-on-one and small group
instruction under the supervision of the ESE teacher. Supervise ESE students pertaining to safety, i.e., bus duty, group supervision, transfer from one location to another and always made student safety a priority. Assist in specialized functions such as facilitating mainstreaming by accompanying ESE students to regular classes.
I assist in an ESE classroom consisting of students with intellectual disabilities in kindergarten through fifth grade. I work one on one with students and in small groups using teacher created lessons. I kept students engaged and motivated during work time. I was responsible for toileting and changing students when necessary. I also assisted with feeding students during breakfast and lunch. I assisted students when transitioning around campus and always made student safety a priority.
I performed instructional support to a student who is visually impaired and has a hearing impairment. I would read all instructions to the student that pertains to classwork. I would write all the students answers to all classwork and testing. I would assist student with eating at lunch time and help with restroom needs. I also assist student while in a gate trainer.
I post patient and insurance payments to patient accounts.
I process credit card payments from patients and insurance companies to patient accounts. I use the Greenway system to process payments.
I take patient payments over the phone and answer any questions they may have about their bill.
I prepared incoming checks from patients, insurance companies and Bank of America. I would deposit those checks at the end of the week through Bank of America and run a report after depositing the checks. I would return checks by mail and FedEx from patients that were incorrectly written. I would call the credit card company to opt out of the V-pay program.
I would research and resolve accounts that are in a credit balance status. Post refunds and recoupments. Apply corrections to patient demographics. Document all actions accordingly by documentation standards within Claim IQ and Dar.
I processed all batches received in an accurate and timely manner. Posted all zero payments in an accurate and timely manner. Performed daily audit to ensure all batches processed.
Ensure confidentiality of all patient accounts by following HIPPA guidelines. I have working knowledge of software systems such as DAR, Pulse and Isynergy
Assist ESE students in a Low Cognitive classroom. I also learned some sign language. Conduct one-on-one and small group instruction under the supervision of the ESE teacher. Assist in student self-help activities – toileting, changing, feeding, cleanliness, and grooming. Encourage self-management. Assist medically complex students, as needed, by lifting, transferring, and/or positioning to facilitate educational activities and good health. As trained by the school Nurse, I would carry out specialized medical procedures such as gastrostomy feeding. Document care provided as instructed. Supervise ESE students pertaining to safety, i.e., bus duty, playground, group supervision, transfer from one location to another and always made student safety a priority. Assist in specialized functions such as facilitating mainstreaming by accompanying ESE students to regular classes. Work in other departments when student was not in school. Other duties included data entry, filing, and working in the Media Center.
