Hi I'm Rhonda
I'm a 56 year old woman who lives in Sutton Vt with my Husband of 25 years.
We have 4 adult children each of us having 2 + 11 Grandchildren!
My childhood consisted of Parental Mental Health issues
Parental Alcoholism and death
Mental emotional physical abuse resulting in compounded trauma
Which led to my adult life full of anger rage unresolved emotional and mental issues, living with my own alcohol/ drug dependencies. Lost confused and broken/ 2 failed marriages
In the year 2000 I was introduced to Jesus Christ taking and accepting him into my heart as my Lord and Savior
Instantly the rage confusion+ brookenness was tooken along with the alcohol/ drug lifestyle. All of these issues were replaced with answers love acceptance belonging forgiveness, most importantly Salvation and a road map for living in Christ.
In my early years of conversion I pictured a wonderful problem free life [ after all , I was walking with The Lord, with a new heart and mind ]
Wow !!! Was I wrong!
The last 20 years has not been even close to trouble free [ hadn't learned yet about trials and tribulations]
My two adult children have choose to live their lives without acknowledging or seeking God [ for now...still hope]
Which has created 20 years of drugs alcohol violence hospitalizations Psychiatric wards habitual criminal charges diseases and countless life and death situations
To God be the Glory : He has kept me sane full of love joy and hope
My hope and prayers are that God will use ALL these things for good and for His Glory. I know I am called according to His purpose and His plan .Romans 8 :28
One of my favorite scriptures : in my own words is in psalms 27
The Lord is my light and my salvation
Whom have I to fear ? In His secret place I'll hide and pray that I might hear a simple word
Oh how I would of despaired if He had not come found me there I can lean against His throne and find my Peace
In closing.....God has set upon my heart a strong desire to disciple broken and lost women....to encourage them in a relationship with Jesus so that they may live a life of faith dependent on The Holy Spirit.
Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Christ Jesus the Father of compassion and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4
