Summary

Seasoned safety engineer with a professional career in different international companies (Caterpillar, Burgess-Norton, Delphi, Chemtool, Navistar International (VW), Norma Group, and others). Specialist in job safety assessments (safety FMEA´s), safe work permits and safety programs for operators. Well versed in national and international safety & environmental legislation. Work based on competencies as well as effective communication skills to promote teamwork. One of my best achievements was working for Chemtool as a Site Manager (in-plant for 3 Caterpillar facilities in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico), leading 6 laboratory chemical analysts in charge of the management of chemical materials and hazardous waste through 11 fluids operators with zero recordable incidents in almost 3 years, while I oversaw the Chemical Management Program for Caterpillar, reducing the spent in chemicals from a yearly budget of USD $3MD to an annual spend of USD $1.8 million dollar through the implementation of chemical titration, periodical audits to the ATS maintenance department, and GMPs (good manufacturing practices) for the use of hazardous chemicals in these three facilities with a monthly high level presentation of results to the US / MEX Top Management of Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division. Former EHS Manager of a Caterpillar manufacturing plant, leading 33 safety technicians, 3 safety engineers, 1 environmental coordinator and a Security general supervisor. After a professional career of 21 years with progressive experience in the health, safety & environmental field in Mexico with some projects in Ontario, Canada and in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I decided to challenge myself by continuing working in the United States of America.
