I was in control of all inventory and loss prevention. We had yearly inventory and audit control with an outside source of loss prevention. We had KPI's to hit such as credit card sign ups, fragrance sells and overall sells. When i took over the store was ranked 490 out of 680 store in overall average of KPI scores. When the store eventually shut down due to bankrupcy my store in the last quarter ranked 104 out of the 540 stores with the lowest i was ranked at 68 in company as my lowest reached in overal KPI.
Started as freight receiver after 2 months of maintaining and organizing and slowly learning all aspects of the job. I was promoted to Shift Leader I was put through a fast track of the position and after 3 months of being there i was promoted to assistant manager i proceeded through the 3 month course in 1 month and after becoming a certified manager I was promoted to Co-GM.
In my first few months I learned the sales tactics and management role as best as i could by By January I was the assistant manager of the Abilene location. I worked with the GM to provide training and sales tactics to our employees. In december of 2014 I was promoted to General Manager where i stayed until covid hit and we parted ways after reopening the mall and store. I assisted in San Angelo on weekends and overseen operations at that location as well.
We were responsible for fulfilling orders, making schedules, and keeping up with all sports since we had to do orders anywhere from 6 months to a year in advance. Making sure our store was stocked and making sure our team was fully engaged in all aspects of the business at all times.
