With over 12 years of experience in nursing leadership, program development, and healthcare management, I have demonstrated my ability to innovate, lead, and successfully implement programs that improve patient care and operational efficiency.
As the Nurse Manager at The Harris Center for Mental Health, I have overseen the Crisis Residential Programs, the Diversion Center, and the IDD Department, managing a team of 12 residential technicians. In this role, I’ve been responsible for developing and implementing operational guidelines, medical and psychiatric procedures, and ensuring that workflows are efficient and aligned with regulatory standards. My leadership was instrumental in launching the Youth Diversion Center (YDC) nursing department and turning around a program that had previously failed state audits.
Earlier in my career, I was part of the initial startup team for the Adult Diversion Program, which received both state and national recognition for its success. I also led the creation of the 6160 building, which combined several critical programs under one roof, and established the Rapid Response Nurse Program, creating job descriptions, roles, and workflows that ensured seamless care delivery.
My experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, creating effective operational processes, and engaging with stakeholders across the healthcare landscape has equipped me with strong communication and leadership skills. I am confident that I can apply these skills in a remote setting, where I would leverage my knowledge of healthcare systems to promote and market innovative solutions that enhance patient care and operational effectiveness.
