Responsible for coordinating the transfer of emergency and acute-care patients from community hospitals to appropriate County or non‑County medical facilities. Works under technical guidance within the Medical Alert Center to facilitate rapid, safe, and efficient patient transfers.

• Receive and triage transfer requests via telephone from referring hospitals—classifying them as routine, urgent, stat, or critical.

• Respond rapidly to emergency calls—including fires, medical emergencies, vehicle collisions, hazardous materials incidents, and technical rescues—providing on-site fire suppression, patient assessment, and emergency medical care.

• Suppress wildland, rural, and structural fires as part of a coordinated fire crew.
