My role as Merchandise Service Team associate was to ensure Lowe's merchandise was presented in a clean, organized, and safe manner
I was tasked daily to service several aisles/bays daily by means of making sure product was merchandised and down stocked, cleaning a wiping down the product, product being priced and labeled with all current prices and promotions and zoning the area for a clean presentation to the customer
I was also tasked to do company merchandising project resets which included being able to read company planograms, detail specific things the company wanted changed in the reset
The project also required that all merchandise was set accordingly to company standards which included shelving changes, quantities of merchandise placed in the reset, displays, pricing and new signage if required
Some of the tasks also required the use of company power equipment which included forklifts, pickers, blue lifts and pallet jacks
All of which required to be company certified to operate safely and effectively to close out or finish the projects in a timely manner according to project guidelines
Also, when needed I assisted customers with any questions and concerns, they may have had by giving them customer service or finding the right associate over/working the department to fill the customer's needs

As a delivery driver it was to deliver packages to customers on a daily assigned route in a timely and safe manner
Each day would start with a company briefing and route assignments
After which we had to inspect and clear the delivery van for safe travel by using the company phone application given
After passing inspection we were required to gather all items and deliveries for the days route assigned
The process included organizing, loading and scanning each delivery bag using a company phone and software
The software would make sure there wasn't any bags missed by alerting you and not letting you proceed until it was corrected
Thus, ensuring all deliveries are made for the route and day
When delivering we used a company phone application that would take you to each corresponding address the package was linked to
Each packaged required to be either hand-delivered to the customer or left at the desired customer location and then verified by taking a picture using the company software/phone
After the route was complete, we were required to check in with the warehouse depot to see if any fellow drivers needed help and if not, we were required to fuel up and head back to station
Upon returning we had to check in and scan for any missing or undelivered packages and clean out and post inspect our van

I was tasked with multiple responsibilities
Some of those included were to make out an order of dry grocery, dairy, lunch meat and the frozen food departments
Each day there was a grocery delivery truck I was required to meet the truck in the early mornings before the store opened
The task included unloading the truck with a forklift or pallet jack, quality checking and that we received each item that was ordered by comparing it to invoices
After which it was my responsibility to ensure all the product was put away properly, timely, and in date rotation by overseeing employees assigned to the area
I worked alongside vendors to help drive sales with the product and promotions they offered us so we in turn could offer it as a great value to our customers
Each week I was responsible for making sure the new company ad was set and ready for the customer by making sure enough product was available and the items on sale were priced correctly
I was also tasked to train and notify employees of all new company direction and policies

I had to maintain inventory accuracy by making sure every item was rung up correctly and each item was scanned correctly
My next opportunity came when I became an electronics associate
In that department my role was to help maintain in stock on all merchandise
I had to know information about all the products and keep up on all new technology that was available at the time to better assist with customer needs
I then moved over to the one-hour photo lab where I learned not only the differences in cameras at that time as well as meeting the customer film developing needs
This was done by knowing how to process it correctly with a developing and printing machine
Both machines required daily maintenance both at opening and closing time
After several years I was promoted to a photo center manager and overseen other associates as well as taking on the responsibilities of maintaining the departments inventory, sales and customer concerns and needs
Finally, I was promoted to an assistant manager where I over seen multiple associates at once
I was responsible for making sure they followed all company procedures and policies, hiring and interviewing potential candidates, making schedules, managed store operations such as opening and closing, managed daily reports and transactions and meet any customer concerns as needed
