Mr. Falco is a Project Engineer in Nelson & Pope’s Civil & Site Engineering Department. He has been involved in all stages of design, preparation of construction documents, related office support for multi-family, single family, commercial and industrial site development projects for private and municipal clients. Mr. Falco’s typical assignments include preparation of conceptual design; site layout, grading, drainage, sanitary and water design; roadway infrastructure improvement design; preparation of steep slope and cut/fill analysis; retaining wall design; preparation of erosion and sediment control plans and SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) drainage analysis and modeling.

Municipal Planning & Reviews:

Town of Babylon: Traffic Safety Review:

  • Mr. Falco is the point of contact for traffic reviews for the Town of Babylon. This includes preparing and signing proposals to complete the review. The review process includes checking the plans for compliance to the Town’s site and traffic regulations and standards, including traffic safety, parking standards, fire code and ADA compliance. The review comments were provided to the Town for distribution to the applicant.

Site Plan / Subdivision Design Experience:

  • Bellport Industrial: Project Engineer for a 50-acre Industrial site. The site plan package includes site plan layout, truck turn analysis, grading and drainage design including an interconnected drainage system with a recharge basin. Site plan was designed using Civil 3D, Earthwork analysis completed to determine cut / fill table and figure. In addition to site plan package prepared sanitary collection set. Collection set show’s locations of structures, pipes, slopes in both plan view and profile view. Civil 3D was used to create the structures and profiles.
  • Pironi Homes Subdivision (East Massapequa): Project Engineer for a subdivision consolidating 18 tax lots into a seven (7) individual single-family lots. The design plans included an overall design set for the subdivision included drainage, water main extension, lot grading, erosion and sediment control and plan and public roadway improvements conforming to the Town of Oyster Bay and Nassau County DPW standards and specifications. Also, plot plans were provided for each individual lot and included a zoning compliance table, building height calculation and drainage calculations.
  • Excel at Woodbury (Woodbury): Prepared a site plan for a parking lot adjacent to an existing building. The full site plan for the design plans of the parking included alignment, grading and drainage design; erosion and sediment control and 19 -ft. concrete retaining wall. Designed the retaining wall using RetainPro and calculating required rebar (including temperature and shrinkage) using excel.
  • Duffy Avenue Retaining Wall(Hicksville: Prepared a retaining wall set for an industrial site. The proposed wall was a 21' Recon Wall (Big Block). The wall set included plan view, profile view and wall section details.

Sanitary Site Plan Design Experience:

  • Fitness Center / Indoor Trampoline Park (Dix Hills): Prepared the sanitary plans to convert a vacant grocery store sanitary system to accommodate an indoor trampoline park with a concession/kitchen. An additional system was design to accommodate a fitness center. The overall SCDHS sanitary density calculation table was modified to be cohesive with the new use to determine the need for sanitary credits.
  • Deer Park Shopping Center (Deer Park): Project Engineer that prepared a sanitary design for Salpino’s. The design set included an abandonment of an existing sanitary system and to redesign a new system. The existing system was undersize, the new system was designed using SCDHS requirements to include both Salpino’s storefront and the basement.
  • Safeguard Site Plan & Sanitary Set: Project Engineer that prepared a site plan and sanitary site plan for a commercial site. Sanitary site plan includes design of an IA system. The design included sanitary calculations, plan view, profile view and details for the proposed system.

Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)

  • Manhasset Crest SWPPP (North Hills): Prepared a SWPPP tributary analysis and modeling for a 30.4-acre site subdivided into 46 lots. This included defining of drainage areas, drainage area characteristics, off-site outfalls, and stormwater flow characteristics. The data was inputted into PondPack to create a SWPPP report as well as data that created hydrographs for each outfall.
  • Pironi Homes Subdivision (East Massapequa): Prepared a SWPPP tributary analysis and modeling for a subdivision that consolidated 18 existing tax lots into 7 single family lots. The Pre-development map contained mostly woods and grass lot coverages. The Post-development map had 7 drainage areas (1 for each lot). This was to ensure adequate drainage was provided for each lot.
