I’ve been an Ironworker since 2006 I started my apprenticeship at the oak creek power plant. Were I learned most of my skill sets. In the process I also helped fellow apprentices and showed them how to walk the iron and bolt up. I spent 2 years there. After that I worked for several companies and the recession hit and sat for year without work. In 2010 My next job was decking where I fell 30 feet and put me out the trade for five years. 2015 I started working at north mutual life downtown and my career started to take off. I’ve worked on many projects small and big. Which brings me to my current job. I’m currently working for CrMeyer in Waco Texas I’m a formen pushing a yard gang. I’ve had in interest with working with the apprentices, but I never had the opportunity to do so. Now that there are two positions opening up, I would like to apply for the apprentice coordinator position or assistant. I’d like to make a difference in our local as well as the companies that hire them.
