Richard Grubbs

As a employee of over 21 years, and a Captain of 7 years with proven leadership in emergency response operations and 13 years as a Union official these experiences have been irreplaceable. Skilled in training development and teamwork across diverse response platforms with both fire and ems responsibilities. Committed to improving those around me in their job and career growth by emphasizing the departments operational plans and ideas as well as informing employees on the Collective Bargaining Agreement. My experience with the positions I have held in the union have prepared me to be a great communicator and problem solver on a daily basis when issues arise. The ability to look at situations from an outside or unaffected standpoint and create resolutions has been pivotal. In working with administration to resolve and mitigate any future problems and find ways to improve the department in the process. These roles have also allowed for me to make contacts with people across the state and create resources to continue to find best practices and more efficient ways of operating.
