Testing of aluminum metals and casting sand

Operate and maintain optical emission spectrometer and other aluminum and sand testing instruments

Maintain records of calibration, maintenance, and test results of lab equipment

Start-up of new lab in a re-located aluminum smelting operation

Collaborate with upper management on the purchase and installation of new optical emission spectrometer

Train supervisors on daily operation of spectrometer

Sample and test incoming aluminum scrap

Operate potting lab to preform assays of incoming materials

Schedule aluminum scrap for processing in crusher and borings dryer

Assist in purchase and installation of new spectrometer

Train techs and supervisors in operation and daily calibrations of lab equipment
