  • Responsible for the splicing of fiber optic cable from where the field and hub side connect (FEC cabinet), running, dressing, labeling, and landing fiber optic cable on site. Installing new patch panels for said fiber.
  • Auditing and walk through of sites existing nodes and equipment to verify existing information. Then see the delivery of the audits to hub techs and managers of Comcast.
  • Ran cabling, wireless routers and telephone systems for data communications networks. ( Comcast)
  • Performed network diagnostics to determine performance levels of new installations that we built and detect faults in existing equipment/infrastructure before builds begin.
  • Ran cabling and installed data drops for new node installations.
  • Replaced failed hardware in server rack systems, swapping hard disks, power supplies and other field serviceable components. Replaced and swapped old equipment and up to date equipment (Cisco, Arris, Ciena, Motorola, etc.)
  • Troubleshot hardware and software to determine and rectify network problems.
  • Building the service from beginning to the end of projects, over seeing and leading the cut overs which is the migration process of new service.
  • Provided detailed reporting after preformed maintenance and repairs to support overall network health and recovery efforts.
  • Configured rack server network hardware considering rail depth, hardware mounting and cable routing.
  • Experience with VSE and XM2 meters to check nodes RF levels. Used light meters for checking optical levels, red lights, fiber optic cleaning kits.
  • Picking up deliveries from warehouses, overseeing the safe transport of those deliveries to the site.
