Worked last year as the 5 day a week Cadre in CPS High School Special Education Cluster program from August of 2023 until June of 2024. Prior to my 5 day a week Cadre position I was fortunate enough to have spent 12 Years in Niles Township District 219 Life Skills and Adult Transition Special Education programs. Worked in Occupational Preparation and Vocational Training. Experienced in on-site vocational support as well as Community Based Instruction. Highly skilled in working with students with special needs. Equipped to provide appropriate learning techniques and behavioral redirection for students with learning, intellectual and emotional disabilities. Enthusiastic at assessing the skill level of the student to determine their needs, developing appropriate teaching plans, developing individualized education programs, teaching and mentoring students, implementing and updating Individual Educational Plans, assessing student’s performance, supervising and mentoring teacher assistants, and helping students to prepare in grade transitions.
