I started out at SCC and was the last class for Automotive Machinist before it ended. That was 2008. From there I went to work for Don Oneal at Oneal Custom Engine. Don is a perfectionist. I learned how to build race engines, along with other automotive motor sports like Motorcycle engines, snowmobile, industrial engines ect. A few years later S&J called and i went to work for them. There I learned the more mass produce production aspect of engine building. While there in the head shop over 8 years i have repaired bolt holes and broken bolts in engines over 10,000 times. I started with bolt repair and moved through the ranking to lead guy.
Then JR at Hotrod Company called and offered a job i could not refuse. He told me if I built him a Cylinder Head Shop and trained a crew to run it. That I would be Lead guy and i would be in a good position. 5 years later, after accomplishing what i was set out to do. Also doing some remarkable things, like gain 100 horsepower from just a cam and my cylinder heads on the L.S platform. Also winning some championships from my cylinder heads and dominating in other motor sports, like Rock Bouncers and sand dune racing.
I should probably add, that in between my work history. I almost got another degree in Aviation Mechanics, but unfortunately Covid 19 happened and schools shutdown when i was less then one quarter away from finishing. So needless to say, I am a very driven Automotive Machinist with a proven track record in precision machining and engine rebuilding. Skilled in quality inspections and machine operation, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with specifications. There is not a machine I haven't ran or an operation i do not know. If there was, i could definitely learn very quickly and master it.
Set track records at stateline speedway from swapping to my cylinder heads.
Have used most machines in automotive machining. Line hones, boring bars, honing machines of all kinds. Rods, valve guides, cylinder bore sizing.
Achieved exact precise tolerances accurately to .0001 consistently.
Extremely passionate about engines and automotive machining.
