As an infantry team leader, I am responsible for personnel and equipment accountability, developing my direct subordinates and peers, and managing small teams of four to nine soldiers in both permissive and adverse conditions. This role strengthened my instructional abilities. My leadership frequently entrusted me with the freedom to develop and lead courses for my unit as well as foreign and domestic partner forces. Examples include developing and executing a lesson plan for a combatives course for my platoon. I was also assigned as lead instructor and range safety for numerous marksmanship ranges for foreign partners and outside organizations. In addition, I provided one-on-one instruction to dozens of individuals on the operation of M153 CROWS to increase my company's readiness. This position refined my leadership skills by making me responsible for my team's whereabouts and well-being, and being accountable for all their assigned equipment during a year-long overseas tour in a combat zone.

  • While working for the TACOM Soldier Survivability program my main responsibilities were inventory management and warehousing operations. this included completing weekly 10% and monthly 100% inventory of product, identifying and resolving discrepancies in the inventory. Utilizing computer based inventory management system for shipping, receiving and issuing inventory. I was also responsible for training over 100 soldiers on proper ballistic vest fitting, care, and preventative maintenance checks and services. Assisted in issuing and warehousing operations at Fort Bliss, Fort Brag, and Fort Carson Fixed Issue Point. Assisted in set up, operation, and close out of Rapid Fielding Initiative located at Camp Grayling, MI, Fort Sill, Hunter Army Air Field, and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK.

  • As a Construction Equipment Repairer I am responsible for the troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance of my units construction equipment as well as our common wheeled vehicles. In this position I gained experience performing my duties in both maintenance shop environments and hasty field environments. As a mechanic I also gained knowledge on manufacturing, reading and interpreting work orders and shop orders. Transferred from my units main body to our detachment for the purpose of supporting maintenance operations of the latter. Adept at navigating, interpreting, and effectively applying the contents of both military and civilian Technical Manual (TM) and Electronic Technical Manual (ETM). Received additional training on the operation of various pieces of heavy equipment along with training on maintenance and repair procedures for various equipment outside the scope of my initial Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

  • As a training instructor for TACOM MF&T I developed to become extremely proficient at the installation of M153 Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) on multiple vehicle platforms. Have individually installed M153 CROWS onto 100+ LMTV and M1 HMMWV vehicles. Performed multiple diagnosis and repair of damaged M153 CROWS using CROWS M153 CROWS. Instructed 250+ hours of Field Level Maintenance New Equipment Training (FLMNET). In this course I was responsible for educating my students on the assembly, disassembly, preventative maintenance checks and services, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of the M153 CROWS. Because of my experience instructing along with assistance from senior instructors I was able to greatly improve my own individual abilities to perform maintenance, diagnosis and repairs. Instructed over 250 hours of Operators New Equipment Training (OPNET) on the M153 CROWS. When instructing this course my main duty is to educate my students on the functions, features and operation of the M153 CROWS in conjunction with the vehicles they were installed on. I have also Conducted more than 500 hours of Train the Trainer (T-3) course, in which I supervise and analyze my student’s ability to instruct the aforementioned OPNET course to a new group of students.

  • During my time as a polisher for Valley Pressure Washing I developed my customer service skills and workload management skills. In my position my main responsibility was creating and completing work orders for the polishing shop. I was also trained on, and responsible for, detailing automobiles ranging from passenger sized show-cars to commercial semi-trucks. Trained on the operation and implementation of specialized pressure washing equipment. Became proficient in the operation and maintenance of a numerous pneumatic, power and hand tools. Through the excess of workload and enforcement of strict deadlines I became extremely proficient working in stressful conditions and managing time effectively. Due to holding 3 different positions at the company at one time and my duties changing regularly, I matured and developed my ability to learn new skillsets expeditiously.
