I am a driven person who enjoys finding solutions to jobs that challenge my skills and allow me to better build on them. I am very easy going and prefer an environment where my team feels more like a family than just a group of coworkers. I’m goal oriented and like to help everyone around me reach theirs. I like to maintain a high level of integrity on every task and take immense pride in my work.
This position was labeled as General Mechanic. I was primarily a Millwright but other tasks such as simple fitting and welding occurred regularly. This included but was not limited to pump installation and/or rebuilds, motor installation, bearing removal/installation (bump fit, tapered bore, interference, etc.) occasional conveyor maintenance, mechanical drive assemblies (chains and belts), rigging, operating stationary and mobile cranes, running scissor lifts/man baskets, and a multitude of other tasks generally found in an industrial setting.
Working to not only complete the work but maintain and repair equipment from something as small as a blast nozzle to the pump itself.
