Accomplishments

From 1997 through 2004 was a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve Infantry and every year volunteered to take the Combat Lifesaving Course. Also enlisted in the US Army Reserve in 2008 in the Military Police Corps, continuing to volunteer for the CLS course. Throughout my career I have been a part of many special events from American Lung Association stair climbs to multiple 5k and 20 mile Chicago Area Runner Association prep runs for the Chicago Marathon. this allowed me to hone my skills in different settings and operate under different Medical Directors. In my current position I am frequently assigned new EMT's straight from the school setting to train in how to become an effective member of the EMS team and to maximize their experiences and to encourage them to go into all the positions and fields the the medical community has to offer.
