Experienced and knowledgeable in managing multiple facilities that provide ambulatory dialysis services.
As the facility Facility Administrator for US Renal Care, I met and exceeded the clinical and financial goals of the facility. Our facility has achieved an excellent rating on our clinical outcomes every month since I started. I have reduced our labor hours per treatment and our supply cost per treatment. Our facility has also maintained a low missed treatment percentage. Since becoming the Area Director in March of 2015, I have made major contributions to our Region and to the company as a whole. The Area Director Encounter Report that I helped develop during my first six months in the new role has become an essential tool in assessing each facility’s overall clinical and financial standing. It is now used in over several facilities in the western part of the country. Since staffing had been a continuous concern, I started a float pool to support our staffing needs in Southern California.
Another ability that I feel is important in the position that I hold is being able to communicate effectively with the staff and our partner nephrologists. Our excellent clinical and financial outcomes are evidence of the collective efforts from the staff and the nephrologists. Effectively communicating the goals and the steps to achieve them have paved the way to the improvements that we saw in our facilities.
My contributions as the UBT Labor Co-Lead in my unit have resulted in four successful projects that elevated the quality of care in the department and helped lower that cost of providing care. And to better keep up with evidence-based practice related to my work, I have achieved certifications in nephrology and infection prevention. Along with other RNs, I helped develop a training and validation tool for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis in our department, which integrated the company's policies and procedures and current guidelines in the industry.
