I spent three months as an intern working with the Special Victims Department of the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office
I assisted in performing numerous activities such as looking over legal documents and assisting in analyzing evidence
I would listen to phone calls and watch interrogation videos of suspects, type up transcripts and look for any possible evidence in those calls and videos
When there was no work to be done, I was able to observe court proceedings in the court house

I spent several summers working as a camp counselor for the Utopia Summer Day Camp
In this position, I was responsible for looking after a group of children during their stay at the camp
I ensured that they were safe, happy, and engaged
I played games with the children, monitored them during the lunch period, held a reading session after lunch, and organized a daily physical activity or outside game

I was hired by a professor from another university to research, photograph and document a holocaust memorial at a local cemetery in Staten Island
I diligently researched the topic and took numerous pictures of the memorial and the surrounding area
I canvassed the local community (a strong Polish Jewish section of town) to determine what ceremonies were still being held and how often the memorial was visited
