During my tenure at Nine Energy Service, I have learned to adapt myself to any and everything that I have been asked to do or taken the liberty upon myself to do to make NES a powerhouse in the oil industry. I believe that my work ethic, attention to detail, and loyalty to NES will be an added bonus to the HSE/DOT departments. I have eight years with the company and I look forward to many more in the future.
In the past seven years, I have been in charge of bulk cement maintenance for bulk cement trailers, pneumatic trailers, and field bins. The perimeters of the job included but not limited to the regular maintenance and upkeep of the equipment.
One of the requirements of the job includes doing confined space work in order to clean/replace internal parts of the equipment. Due to this fact, in 2018/2019 Brad Simms, Jeff Gleason and myself completely revamped the confined space procedures for Nine Energy based on how I perceived the job, and how to do it safely and efficiently.
As the driver trainer for Nine Energy Service, I was tasked to rate the abilities of new hires to see how safely they could drive and operate the equipment.
When I originally started with Nine Energy Service, the driving portion of the new hire training was extremely lax and not regulated. The driver was sent with another driver for a 10 minute drive up and down the interstate. I took it upon myself when asked to take over as the primary trainer to expand the entire process to include interstate, in town traffic, right and left turns, aim high, leaving an escape, lead time, planning ahead, backing and basic knowledge of the pre and post trip inspections.
I also included an explanation tour and hands on training of the equipment in the yard for when the driver was sent out to the field
Updating and keeping DOT paperwork current. Make sure that all equipment had state inspections, hubometer permits, overweight permits, legible license plates. Make sure all equipment was road ready, safe, legal in all aspects, gate checks, and properly maintained
Looking for and identifying problems and issues and figuring out safe and effective solutions
Listening to other employees comments and concerns and finding ways to improve and/or correct the problem
Always pushing myself to be the best at what I do
