Reconstruction Operations Manager

  • As the Reconstruction Operations Manager, I oversaw the reconstruction department consisting of up to 14 Project Managers, 4 superintendents and 4 Carpenters. On a consistent basis I monitored the progress of projects that PM’s were running, from budget control to quality control to following OSHA guidelines. I tracked Contract Values, Change Orders/Supplements as well as project expenses. Conducted 1:1 meetings with PM’s at a minimum of twice a month to review projects. Mentored PM’s on project issues and teamed with them create a viable solution that was cost effective for the company as well as being fair and just to the customers.
  • I was also involved with revenue forecast meetings at the beginning of the month, as well as revenue update meetings at months end. I was involved with the hiring of new PM’s as well as the termination of employees. I performed the yearly merit salary increases. I monitored/approved credit card expenses as well as work order approvals submitted for payment.
  • I ran and monitored the schedule for in-house Carpenter usage as well as the Superintendents. I was instrumental in making sure Carpenters and Superintendents were sufficiently trained and OSHA certified. I monitored and approved all timecards for PM’s, Carpenters and Superintendents. In addition, I also monitored, scheduled and approved any Facilities repairs/maintenance that needed to be done, including Fire and Safety, Elevator and in a limited role – IT.

I follow up with the Crew Chief and the customer during the remediation, to ensure that the work is being done both completely, and satisfactorily. I also review the crew hours to ensure job was completed within the timeframe dictated by the work scope.
