DAV NSO's represent individual veterans (and their families) pursuing disability claims and other benefits from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and, on occasion, other government entities. This position requires that the representative be accredited to practice before the VA and the representative have a detailed knowledge of the law pertaining to veterans’ benefits and a sufficient understanding of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology to execute the responsibilities described herein.
