  • Lions Club District 21N Childhood Cancer Chair - Instrumental in finding a childhood cancer partner for the LC District 21N. Selected to partner with Children Cancer Network, as it is a local non-profit which serves 800+ families affected by childhood cancer each year. They have established connections with Phoenix Children and Banner's Children Hospitals, together we identified the greatest need is transportation to and from treatment, so we plan to buy them a Van, as immunocompromised kids they need an outdoor Lions Den playground, we added a meditation for parents to use while kids are playing among themselves, the cost is estimated to be $102,000. We applied a grant to the Lions Club International Fund and they approved to match $51,000. Now we are busy doing various fundraising events to get donations to match the amount given by the LCIF.
